Selmer Raymond France Metal Clarinet Circa late 1920s
Interesting French-made Selmer Raymond clarinet #6133. This metal clarinet was originally marketed as an intermediate Selmer line. The keys are bright silver-plated, and the body has been lacquered over brass. We overhauled this with double skin pads and new corks. No dents and the mechanism is tight. Comes in its original case with Selmer label and original Raymond hard rubber mouthpiece. Own a rather unique, well-playing instrument for $580 plus shipping.
Please note:
As professional repair technicians, our labor to completely overhaul a clarinet is approximately $250-$300. When you purchase one of our clarinets, it has been professionally overhauled with the mechanism tightened, new double skin pads, and new corks. While you can purchase as-is instruments for less, it is likely that you will have to invest in an overhaul either before you play them or shortly thereafter. We don’t cut corners with cheaper supplies or patchwork. When you compare our quality, you will understand why we don’t accept lower “make offers” on our instruments.
