This metal clarinet was made by the Pan-American Band Instrument Company. We estimate that it was made in the late 1920s, as no separate list of Pan-American serial numbers exists to our knowledge. It is a four-piece breakdown model and has professional features. It is very similar to the Conn professional metal clarinets with adjustable pivot screws. The serial number is 5871. It features a satin silver-plated body and bright silver keys. We have overhauled this instrument with all-new double-skin pads and corks. Better than average solid case. Comes with a Selmer HS* hard rubber mouthpiece. No dents, and the mechanism is tight. In extraordinary condition for its age. Please see the photographs. A good investment at $450.00 plus shipping.

Please note:
As professional repair technicians, our labor to completely overhaul a clarinet is approximately $250-$300. When you purchase one of our clarinets, it has been professionally overhauled with the mechanism tightened, new double skin pads, and new corks. While you can purchase as-is instruments for less, you will likely have to invest in an overhaul either before you play it or shortly thereafter. We don’t cut corners with cheaper supplies or patchwork. When you compare our quality, you will understand why we don’t accept lower “make offers” on our instruments.
