The Martin Company was a fine old American company that operated up until the 1950s. They are famous for their professional Saxophones and trumpets but also made a limited number of metal clarinets. We are offering this Martin Handcraft model Bb clarinet, metal clarinet. We estimate that this #10717 was made in 1933. This wonderful old instrument has been lovingly restored with new premium pads and corks. The mechanism is tight, with no dents. It has silver- plated keys and body. It comes with its good original case and French hard rubber mouthpiece.

Note: The original tuning barrel has had the adjustment clutch removed and thus functions as a regular tuning barrel. This is a hard-to-find quality metal clarinet! $450 plus shipping. Please see the photographs.

Please note:
As professional repair technicians, our labor to completely overhaul a clarinet is approximately $250-$300. When you purchase one of our clarinets, it has been professionally overhauled with the mechanism tightened, new double skin pads, and new corks. While you can purchase as-is instruments for less, it is likely that you will have to invest in an overhaul either before you play it or shortly thereafter. We don’t cut corners with cheaper supplies or patchwork. When you compare our quality, you will understand why we don’t accept lower “make offers” on our instruments.
