Evette & Schaeffer Upper Intermediate Model Clarinet Circa 1950s
The Evette & Schaeffer Company owned and manufactured Buffet clarinets for many years. During the 1950’s they made this intermediate model clarinet #B1636. Evette & Schaeffer produced the Buffet as the model above this. The Evette was the model below it. We have restored this instrument with all new pads and corks. No cracks. Please see photographs. It comes with good case and hard rubber mouthpiece. Own a great-playing intermediate French clarinet with raw nickel-silver keys for $425 plus shipping.
Please note:
As professional repair technicians, our labor to completely overhaul a clarinet is approximately $250-$300. When you purchase one of our clarinets, it has been professionally overhauled with the mechanism tightened, new double skin pads, and new corks. While you can purchase as-is instruments for less, it is likely that you will have to invest in an overhaul either before playing them or shortly thereafter. We don’t cut corners with cheaper supplies or patchwork. When you compare our quality, you will understand why we don’t accept lower “make offers” on our instruments.
