The F. E. Olds Company is famous for its vintage brass instruments but never made woodwinds. This Opera clarinet K6677 is a Buffet stencil and a direct copy of Buffet clarinets of this era. We estimate that it was made in the mid to late 1950s and has many of the early R-13 features of that period. No cracks, mechanism tight, raw nickel silver key work. We have restored this instrument in our shop with new double bladder pads and corks. Please see the detailed photographs. Comes with the original hard rubber mouthpiece and a later replacement case. Own this hard-to-find and great-playing professional clarinet for $695 plus shipping.

Please note:
As professional repair technicians, our labor to completely overhaul a clarinet is approximately $250-$300. When you purchase one of our clarinets, it has been professionally overhauled with the mechanism tightened, new double skin pads, and new corks. While you can purchase as-is instruments for less, it is likely that you will have to invest in an overhaul either after you have purchased them or shortly thereafter. We don’t cut corners with cheaper supplies or patchwork. When you compare our quality, you will understand why we don’t accept lower “make offers” on our instruments.
