This is a Pan American 68N “Violin Finish” Clarinet. This beautiful clarinet #101214 was an experiment with laminated material by Conn in 1950. We restored this instrument by repairing all laminated wood and replacing all pads and corks. The light trademark is missing from the bell so no name is on the instrument. It has nickel-plated keys. We even repaired the latches on its original fiberglass case. Its playing qualities are commensurate with a mid-grade clarinet at the time but its collectability is widespread. Comes with a good Woodwind Co. Hard rubber mouthpiece.  Own a genuine collectible clarinet for $400 plus shipping.
Please note:
As professional repair technicians, our labor to completely overhaul a clarinet is approximately $250-$300. When you purchase one of our clarinets, it has been professionally overhauled with the mechanism tightened, new double skin pads, and new corks. While you can purchase as-is instruments for less, you will likely have to invest in an overhaul either before you play it or shortly thereafter. We don’t cut corners with cheaper supplies or patchwork. When you compare our quality, you will understand why we don’t accept lower “make offers” on our instruments.
